Stewart Endorsed By American Hunters And Shooters Association COSHOCTON - Jennifer Stewart has been endorsed by the American Hunters and Shooters Association (AHSA), an organization that acts as advocates for hunting and the right to bear arms. Ray Schoenke, former NFL star and president of AHSA, said, "all hunters, regardless of their political affiliation, must understand that in addition to protecting the Second Amendment, it's important that our leaders make conservation a priority. The American Hunters and Shooters Association endorses Jennifer Stewart because she will protect our right to bear arms, protect the hunting lands we love, and work to see that wildlife is managed wisely so we have healthy game to hunt." Jennifer Stewart expressed her support for a hunting tradition that is enjoyed by thousands in Muskingum and Coshocton counties. "I am proud to have the endorsement of the American Hunters and Shooters Association. By protecting the right to bear arms and managing our land and wildlife resources wisely, we can be sure that hunting will always be a great tradition for our region. As a legislator, I will work to ensure that hunters have a seat at the table when decisions are made," said Stewart. The AHSA endorsement of Stewart follows a B+ grade from the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund. Stewart has also been endorsed by the Ohio Farmers Union and Appalachian Community Action. Coshocton Tribune, 10/22/08 |
